"It is not the reality that matters in a film but what the imagination can make of it."

Charles Chaplin

I first designed this site in order to present my work as director and screenwriter.

The passion for cinema drives me on since childhood, to such an extent that when I was little I recited (with right tone) the total dialogues of "Gone with the wind" in front of my laughing family. Little by little, as my film knowledge growing up, I discovered the possibilities and the range of picture.

Alfred Hitchcock and his devilish mastery of the cinematic grammar, the stunning soundtracks of the films by Sergio Leone, the Technicolor and the films noirs atmosphere definitively left their mark on me. All those film-makers, who now have a place in history of film, and some contemporaries like Tim Burton, Joel and Ethan Coen or Roman Polanski made me take up film direction.

A few years of learning work later, I now consider direction as the foundations and helm of a film; designing its form and content in the same time. A film is a whole; a dialogue of harmonies and counterpoints between image and sound, between movements and music, between settings and acting… To direct a film is to choose a point of view and to enrich the story told by the screenplay making the spectators feel this point of view.

In those web pages you could watch two of my short films and read a few pages of my screenplays… Have a nice visit.
